Rationale:
Through the delivery of a Differentiated Curriculum our school aims to provide
a challenging and comprehensive curriculum for all students, including those
identified as gifted and talented and highly able. The PEEP program provides
extension opportunities for the more physically able students.
Aims:
To provide additional opportunities for students with a demonstrated special
interest in Physical and Sport Education to be introduced to a range of sports.
Implementation

by the Physical Education teacher.
- The program will be entirely funded by the participating students.
- Students from Year 5 and 6 will be considered for inclusion in PEEP following
parental consent in response to an "Expression of Interest".
- Year 6 children will be given preference over year 5 children.
- The Principal will approve the final list of participants.
- Full payment for the activities must be made in accordance with the program's
timeline.
- Inclusion in prior PEEP programs does not imply automatic inclusion in the
following year's program.
- The Selection Criteria is as follows-
- on-going commitment to and participation in theTempleton PE and Sport
Program.
- ability to consistently take responsibility for their own actions and
show due care for others and themselves.
- ability to cope with the rigors of the program.
- willingness to ensure any missed classroom work requirements are completed
- If parents are required to assist in PEEP activities, selection will be
entirely at the discretion of the PE teacher.
- When deciding on which parents will assist , the PE teacher will take into
account, amongst other factors-
- any relevant skills the parents have to offer (eg. First aid, experience
in the activity)
- the need to include both male and female parents.
- the special needs of particular students.
- Following the selection of children to participate in the program the PE
teacher will invite parents of selected children to make known any relevant
skill they may have, and their availability/willingness to assist with the
activities. Skills and an availability/willingness does not guarantee that
any parents will be invited to attend any activity.
- Parents selected to assist with an activity may be required to provide their
own transport and/or cover the cost of their attendance.
