Rationale:
Implementation of the CSF II across the school will provide all students with
a sequential curriculum framework that guides their learning and provides performance
measures against learning outcomes.
Aims:
To improve student learning through the implementation of the CSF II across
all key learning areas and across all year levels in a manner consistent with
departmental requirements and locally identified needs.
Implementation
- The school is committed to the implementation of CSF II throughout each
KLA, and across all year levels.
- A senior staff member will be allocated the responsibility to lead a team
in the development and implementation of CSF II across the school.
- In doing so, all DE&T timelines and reporting requirements must be met.
- Whole school professional development opportunities will be provided, as
well as personal professional development plans developed that cater for the
CSF II needs of each staff member.
- Information regarding CSFII will be provided to all parents through the
annual grade level Information Nights and through the publication of grade
level Term Planners.
- On-going audits of existing curriculum areas against CSF II and will require
departments to modify courses of study to achieve consistency with CSF II.
- All staff members will be allocated personal copies of the 'curriculum@work'
cd and are required to work with their respective faculties and teams in the
development and implementation a curriculum that reflects CSF II and responds
to student's identified needs.
- Student achievement will be measured and reported to students, parents,
DEET and the wider community against CSF II achievement levels.
- All staff will participate in the collection of student achievement data,
and all staff will have input into school direction decisions resulting from
interpretations of student achievement data.
- Implementation of CSF II will be a key performance indicator of each staff
member's annual performance review.
- School council will provide adequate resources for the implementation of
CSF II and associated professional development etc.
Evaluation:
This policy will be reviewed as part of the school’s three-year
review cycle.
